Established in 2007, the EurekaMag Biomedical Library continues to provide digitization and document delivery services using a network of libraries worldwide.

In contrast to common search engines, EurekaMag search provides results for scientific article references, PubMed Ids (PMIDs) and Digital Object Identifiers (DOIs) at the same speed (0.1-0.5 sec) as Google. In contrast to Google which is increasingly spamming users with labeled ads, non-labeled ads (“Reddit”) and what they call AI (“AI Overview”), our search is exclusively keyword-based. In contrast to Google and PubMed, EurekaMag does not only provide search results but also supplies the full texts of any article in its database.

EurekaMag currently contains over 78 million references to scientific articles of which over 31 million have been published in print only.

Digitizing printed scientific articles is the signature business of EurekaMag which scans such articles through a network of international libraries including the National Library of Medicine (NLM) in the US, the National Diet Library in Japan, the National Science Library Beijing, China, the National Library of India, the Universitätsbibliothek der Medizinischen Universität Wien, Austria, ETH-Bibliothek Zürich, Switzerland and Deutsche Zentralbibliothek für Medizin, Germany. Since most nor all of these libraries are government-owned, copyright-compliance is guaranteed.

The vast number of articles only available in print stems from a number of scientific databases only partially available in public. Here we make a huge difference to Google. Google’s search engine for scholarly literature (Google Scholar) is often referenced as to be “complete”, however, the same as the general Google Search it is increasingly plagued with non-labeled ads (“Cabidigitallibrary”), i.e., Spam. Millions of scientific articles indexed at EurekaMag do not appear in Google’s general or scholarly search!

A comparably new feature of EurekaMag is the in-house scanning of rare books, book series and journals not available through libraries, auctions or other marketplaces. This content is the result of custom requests for scientific materials submitted through the site’s Custom Request page.

EurekaMag is not static. It adds about 1,000 – 50,000 newly published articles to its database every day. The newest inclusions are available through its homepage. Possibly more important is its daily updated list of digitized printed articles which is available through its search page. EurekaMag exclusively uses it’s verified account as an official organization on X for communicating it’s latest products. The 24-h feed is online since 2010 and is the best option to keep up-to-date with EurekaMag’s offerings. An alternative live-feed can be found at EurekaMag’s LinkedIn profile.

EurekaMag charges $29.90 for each scanned article and $19.90 for electronically published articles. Ordered articles get delivered by email immediately or within a workday (library-scanned). For institutional or business customers, EurekaMag supplies all articles (scanned and electronically published) at a flat rate of $19.90 per article. For availing this offer, please contact EurekaMag by email or visit EurekaMag’s Business Profile.
